The Zwarte Cross festival is an annual institution in the Netherlands. For the past 25 years, this festival has been convergence of music, motorcycles and more set in the Dutch countryside.

The 2022 edition served as a major comeback for the festival, which had been sidelined by the pandemic. This year, more than 200,000 visitors attended the 4-day event, featuring 38 stages for live performances. Zwarte Cross knows how to create a once-in-a-lifetime entertainment experience, and part of that is ensuring attendees have a high-quality network that can support them as they share the experience with friends and followers on social media.

With so many people burning through data in a high-density environment, Zwarte Cross needed a network that could support the needs of attendees and festival operations. A longtime partner of Extreme Networks, this year Zwarte Cross took a major leap forward in its network and, alongside partners Indicium and Palo Alto Networks, built a visionary foundation for a connected festival.
