In March 2020, life in the Cayman Islands, much like the rest of the world, came to a screeching halt. Without critical networking infrastructure — and an economy that relied heavily on tourism — business regrowth and reinvention on the islands was all but impossible.

Upon learning about these challenges, Cisco Meraki donated ten Wi-Fi hotspots across the three islands to help the local community find connection during the crisis.

While Cisco took this action with no future business expectations, the team’s work resulted in new partnerships across government, industry, and academia.

Today, teams at Cisco are engaged in conversations about the future of work, digitization, education, and innovation in Cayman and across the Caribbean.
