Thanks for following along during an action-packed opening day at Ignite 2015!

Today at our kickoff general session we heard from members of our executive team about the importance of an enterprise security platform and all of the ways we're adding both to the platform and our threat intelligence capabilities.

The growth of cybercriminals -- and a lower-than-ever barrier to entry to access and deployment of cyber crime tools -- means security companies must focus on reducing the attack surface and, where possible, taking preventative measures to stop attacks before they happen.

"We need to increase the cost of an attack to the point where an attack can only be successful once," said Mark McLaughlin, Palo Alto Networks President and CEO. "It is impossible to keep up with the threat if the only answer is to clean up after the fact."
