Many CA APM users find the out-of-the-box reports to be useful. There are times, however, when those reports do not fulfill all of an organization's needs. Some examples include pulling graphical reports from the Enterprise Manager that match the dashboard that exists in the java view and must look good in a word document. The new GUI interface that CA introduced this year offers an improved capability over the limited WebView. If we are using APM to identify issues in Enterprise infrastructure, or issues in a primary Line of Business application, we will need to present a strong case in a document.
Furthermore, consumers of APM information may include members of an organization with little need for live data. A common solution is to turn to Enterprise Reporting techniques that offer inexpensive licensing, a common look-and-feel, and highly granular authorization models.
The webinar will review best practices for data extraction from APM, and suggest some techniques to organize and view the results.
