Hyperscan is a software pattern-matching library that can match large groups of regular expressions against blocks or streams of data. In this demo from RSA 2014, Chris Clark, a DPDK architect from Intel explains how Hyperscan allows users to match large databases and large sets of regular expressions efficiently. Hyperscan scales up linearly with the number of cores and runs an estimated 2-3 times faster than similar open source implementations.
