Watch this quick video to learn how to setup link aggregation on the NETGEAR Nighthawk X10 WiFi Router and the Nighthawk S8000 Gaming and Streaming Switch.

Link aggregation (LAG) between two networking devices can allow you to combine multiple Ethernet connections to double your connection bandwidth. In order to setup link aggregation on your Nighthawk WiFi Router and Switch, you must create a link aggregation group (LAG) on both of these devices.

Follow these high-level steps to set up link aggregation:

First, disconnect your Nighthawk switch from your Nighthawk X10 router. Make sure that your Nighthawk switch’s port speed, duplex mode, flow control, port priority, and port-based rate limiting settings are correct. Now, set up a LAG on your Nighthawk switch. Set up a LAG on your Nighthawk X10 router. Then, connect the ports that you made members of a LAG on the switch to ports 1 and 2 on your Nighthawk X10 router.
