As they migrated off SONET networks, fabric technology gave Novant several new ways to connect their acute facilities to their data centers. By complementing the fabric with SD-WAN technologies, Novant found that IT efficiency increased dramatically from having dedicated on-call resources stay up all night doing repair work to dropping the on-call requirement altogether.

As a consolidating force in the industry as well, Novant has found that their choice to integrate fabric technology into their network architecture allowed for them to easily incorporate new facilities into the system while still supporting carrier services at their network layer.
